Day 7: Favorite movies.
I’m a big movie fanatic. Mostly I think it’s because I have a lot of free time on my hands and watching a movie is the easiest way to kill the boredom. I could think of so many favourites. But I’m not going to list down a hundred and one movies here. So here are my all time top 4 instead.
Jazz, showbiz, glamour. Not to mention the many unique musical numbers it in. Who would not be a fan of this one? It makes you feel like you’re right there in the movie itself sometimes. I’d totally “play dress up” if I had other girlfriends who were into that. I don’t like Renee Zellweger, but absolutely love Catherine Zeta Jones in it. And Taye Diggs has a part in the movie as well.
This one touches on controversial issues. There’s a girl on drugs, homeless people, a transvestite and his gay lover and a lesbian couple in it. Makes for a weird and interesting movie though. Taye Diggs is in this one too. Okay, I think I like Taye Diggs. I strangely have a thing for african american bald guys with really cute smiles.
I know all the songs in this one. By heart. They were just too catchy to not sing a long to. And does anyone else remember bad boy Danny Zuko falling madly in love with Sandy? Who didn’t want to be in her place? To be honest, I didn’t like Olivia Newton John’s princessy character in the movie, and I still don’t really like her. But that doesn’t stop it from being my second favourite movie ever. Only to be topped by…
I grew up watching this movie over and over and over again. I used to have it on tape. Yes, those huge black rectangular-ish things that are impossible to find nowadays. And then I had it on vcd. And then on dvd. And now I have it in my laptop. I will never get bored of watching it. Probably ever. And yes, I can sing along to their songs too. Will probably have a tiny Sound of Music chip (depending on technology) in the future to play it for my children. Who would probably call me ancient and all that nonsense. But who cares. I think this movie’s timeless! So what if I’m a little lame.
Anyone else notice that my top 4 favourite movies ever, are all musicals? Come to think of it, all my favourite movies from then, and now, are music related. No wonder I’m such a huge fan of Glee.
I’m also thinking that Burlesque is gonna make it to the top 5, once I watch it.
