Laptop crashed on me earlier today. After awhile of panicking, I decided to just get up and go get it fixed. Got a ride to the mall and went around looking for a computer shop. It’s the first time I’ve had to repair my laptop in Butterworth and only the 2nd time ever since I bought it almost 4 years ago. Yes, I don’t throw gadgets out til they’re literally falling apart. I was loyal to my last phone even after I couldn’t even use it to talk.
So it needed reformatting, which freaked me out because I don’t have a back up of my files anywhere. I don’t know why actually, when I’ve been carrying a hard disk around for ages. The guy in the first shop said they couldn’t back up the files. Luckilly I wasn’t in a lazy mood and managed to find a shop that would back up my files. The thought of loosing all my photos makes me wanna cry.
Went to watch Pirates of the Caribbean : On Stranger Tides to kill time. Not really a fan of Penelope Cruz, as hot as she is. But I will never fall out of love with Johnny Depp. With a movie list that includes Edward Scissorhands, Sleepy Hollow, Blow, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Corpse Bride, Sweeney Todd and Alice in Wonderland, anyone would be crazy to not love him! This movie was no different. Brilliant. And I would probably watch it over and over again. I’m big on the whole fantasy world thing.
Then I went to collect my laptop and wait for my ride back.

Oh, did I mention that I left my handphone behind? Yes, I had it in my hand before leaving the house. But as always, I manage to be forgetful in the stupidest way possible. I forgot how hard it is to find a public phone booth nowadays. Or maybe I didn’t forget. I just never realized it. I didn’t mind the walk, coz I had time to kill. But I walked around the entire mall just to find out that all the public phone booths that used to be there had either been taken out or were out of use. Everyone has a handphone nowadays. Even little kids.
When’s the last time you used a public phone booth?
